Probably a Bobcat's Footprint Near Sabino Canyon Dam

Small cat's track. Probably a Bobcat... Wow!! All my life I've wanted to see a wild cat's footprint. I was thrilled...

On Wednesday morning, I went on a Nature Walk with Ned Harris and his associated Naturalists of Sabino Canyon, in the Coronado National Forest in Tucson, Arizona. It was fabulous. I am so happy I went with these delightful people! They were friendly, and patient, and very helpful! I learned so much, and I saw things I had never seen before and never expected to see. It was a wonderful learning experience for me and for my assistant...

Ned Harris's Nature Walk happens every Wednesday morning except for Christmas and New Year's. The Nature Walk leaves the Visitor Center (just off the parking lot) at 8:30am.

Anne Green, who was on the walk, writes an excellent blog about it all.

I had a great time. The Nature Walk started at 08:30 on Wednesday morning. I arrived back at the visitor center at 11:30... I was the slowest person, and I felt it was wise to stop to sit on a bench that we passed at around 10:45am. The others arrived back at the a starting point at about 11am.

I had intended to use my new Canon 18-135 mm lens. However, I was intimidated by Ned's fabulous long focal length lens, so I changed to my Canon 75-300mm lens. I did get some photos I really like on the Nature Walk, but in general, it was not the right lens for me. That's valuable info for next time...;)) I am planning on joining them again next week, and I will use the 18-135mm lens that came with the Canon 70D camera...

I should note that I was accompanied by my caregiver Heather who steadied me and helped me up and down the rough spots… My thanks to Heather!
