are we being screwed? are we? really? we are?

i voted for parliamentary system, not cos i think it would do any good but just cos i couldn't make up my mind and in the end just voted for it instead of not voting at all. to me its not a matter of which system i guess....its the people we need to change, but not exactly sure how we would do that though, it all just seemed like such a farce. and i got to witness lots of people at the 'Riyaasee' celebration show thing they had at the Alimas Carnival stage, and i just wondered how much they might had spent on that whole thing...and thought to myself that the same money would have been better utilized if it was given to the people who need financial aid...um like those tsunami victims living in those wretched tents or tsunami shelters!! i mean its been what...almost three fuckin years since the tsunami? and those people are living in such poor conditions. screw politics if all it is gonna be is just a masquerade and not really help those that need help. i may not know much about politics and these systems or whatever. but i know that if people were just a bit more humane and not try to kiss someone's ass all the time for personal gains, we would all be better off.
