Will the Dawn See You Standing . . . Still?
Goodnoe Hills (Ghost Town), Washington
After photographing the Goodnoe school (www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/53757191600/in/datepos...), rather than taking the same route back that brought me there (as google suggested), I headed north in hopes of finding other subjects to capture. Only some 600 meters later, I came upon this barely standing house. I wasn't sure when I took the photo if the result would be worthy of inclusion in my stream, but it seemed to have some promise. One problem--the sky seemed utterly devoid of interest. But I took the shot thinking I might be able to make it work by importing a different sky into the scene. As it turned out, the sky was more interesting than my eye was able to make out. It just needed a little coaxing in Lightroom.
