Waterhole Canyon

Near Page, Arizona

As I noted in my previous upload from this shoot (www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/53556604999/ ), I took the photographic tour of this beautiful little canyon in which I found myself the lone participant--other than the guide. Needless to say, this made shooting photos a lot easier--but not necessarily better. If others had been along, I might have benefitted from their perspective, i.e., they would undoubtedly see things I did not. My photos then might have been the richer for it (I'm definitely not above "stealing" another's viewpoint). Nonetheless, I enjoyed the relative solitude.

Based on the photos I've seen of Antelope Canyon, I'd say there is little doubt that it is considerably more spectacular than Waterhole, though I still very much enjoyed my tour. My guide was informative and helpful. Still, I'd rather have explored the place on my own (it's not allowed in large measure because of the propensity of some idiots to deface the beauty). Really, anyone who does that should be forced to remove their graffiti, and then spend a little time in prison.

This is a Pano combining two photos taken with my Nikon D810.

Still another photo taken here by me (and probably the best): www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/53559113319/
