Monument Valley Forever
Well, maybe not forever, but we can enjoy the area for many millennia to come--or until we wipe ourselves out as a species, whichever comes first. This was early in the 2nd day of my visit here--before the beautiful clouds rolled in (www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/52007408413/in/datepos... ). This is not far from the restricted entrance to the park. I parked my car (where it wasn't allowed, pretty sure) and wandered off into the desert, looking for foreground. I found quite a bit, the two rocks here among them.
For those who don't know, these large rock formations in the distance are known as
"The Mittens"--the closest being the "West Mitten" and the other . . . well, I bet you can figure it out. :-)
This is a Pano combining two photos using my 50mm lens.
