When aspiring singer and actress, Anna Zaka, wanted hair extensions to glamorize her look she went to one of Houston’s best and most well-known hair extension experts, Lisha Coleman.
In the entertainment business, image is a big part of the package and Zaka wanted to do something that would set her apart from the competition. “Acting and performing are very much about appearance and I wanted something to give me an edge. I wanted fuller, longer hair and after looking at Lisha’s website and seeing her work, I knew I had found the best!” says, Zaka.
Lisha Coleman has been mastering hair extensions for over 20 years and began her career on Broadway in New York City, so she knows a thing or two about creating dynamic looks built for the stage. Coleman explains, “For the shots by the pool we were looking for a chichi-meets-bohemian feel. Something you might see on the Bravo reality show, ‘Shahs Of Sunset’. ‘Pocahontas’ was the inspiration for another look. The flowered headband and blonde highlight extensions worked really well to get the super-sexy, natural look. We went into Zach Tate’s studio to get the glamorous head shot to show off Anna’s beautiful face and hair extensions.”
Born in the Himalayan town of Murree in northern Pakistan, Anna’s parents moved to the US when she was just 2 years old. “I get back there quite a bit. It’s so beautiful. I’m a very proud Texan but I love my culture,” says Zaka.
Celebrity photographer Zach Tate worked with Coleman creating 3 looks for Zaka’s first-ever professional photo shoot. “I love working with people who are new to being photographed. Nervous energy often translates into enthusiasm, and that comes through in the images,” said Tate.
Coleman used her Securelocking Method of hair extensions on Zaka to help create the different themes for each shot. “We mixed in some 22” blond #27/613 and brown #4 in a body wave to give Anna the long mane that’s so sexy on her. My signature placement of the extensions is what allows the hair to flow in a seamless, natural, undetectable way.”
