There's a big splotch of shit between the elements on this group. according to the seller this doesn't effect the IQ... OK. Tamron uses an integrated plastic assembly to carry the back group. Lots of loctite. I used some acetone to dissolve the stuff and loosen things up enough to get it apart. Took a great deal of patience. Don't try this at home kids, unless you've worked with plastics and solvents for at least 25 years....
