When I first started working for Oxford South Midland at Bicester I did normal shiftwork which meant that I would drive all three of the garages long distance routes. These comprised the X59 Oxford to Coventry via Banbury, the 131 Oxford to Bedford via Newport Pagnell and the 338 Oxford to Northampton via Brackley. On an unknown day during January 1983 I had worked the afternoon 338 and had the opportunity to photograph Northampton Transport 6 (UNH 6L) a Willowbrook bodied Daimler Fleetline SRL6-36.
