Having lived in nearby Twyford for many years it is surprising that this is one of only a handful of images taken at Langston & Tasker's yard in neighbouring Steeple Claydon. However I worked long days as a postman later becoming a driver for Oxford South Midland at their Bicester garage. Add to this a young family, helping when time permitted on my father in law's farm and working twice a week at the local cattle market in Bicester time for hobbies was short. Seen here at the yard in January 1993 are a pair of Bedford YRT's. Duple 'Dominant' bodied LVS 439P new to Armchair, Brentford in March 1 passing to British Airways in January 1977 and onward to Prairie, West Dayton in May 1978. It was acquired in October 1979. GHD 667N a Plaxton 'Supreme' example was new to Silver Fox, Edinburgh in March 1975 passing to Topping, Liverpool in June 1979 and onto Kinch, Mountsorrel in November 1979 joining Langston & Tasker in 1981.
