7l (LOW 217) was one of a batch of ten Park Royal bodied Guy Arab lll purchased by Southampton Corporation in 1954. Numbered 64-73 (LOW 210-219) these were the final vehicles of their type delivered to the undertaking. 71 became the last closed top Guy Arab to operate with the Corporation. Following withdrawal in 1974, it was kept on fleet strength in acknowledgment of the vehicles historical significance. It was then used by Southampton as a special events vehicle.
