Cheltenham & Gloucester began a programme of refurbishing its Leyland Nationals during 1990. The work involved fitting new DAF engines, new floors and doors and a seat retrim. The resultant vehicles were badged as National 3. 313 (TAE 639S) wearing City of Gloucester blue and yellow was found at The Promenade in Cheltenham on June 3rd 1993.
