What strikes me most about refuse collection on Cyprus is the fact that household waste, certainly in the Sotira municipality where my sister in law lives is undertaken after midnight the coolest part of the day. The other image that remains with me are the operatives who travel on the back stood on metal platforms assisted by holding on to metal railings.
