Luton & District acquired a batch of four East Lancs 'European' bodied Scania L113CRL buses in June 1996.

Seventy nine Europeans were built, all but five for companies owned by British Bus, a predecessor of Arriva. These companies were Luton & District (27), Northumbria (20), Midland Fox (14), Clydeside 2000 (8) and Derby City Transport (5). The remaining five were sold to Yorkshire Traction. Seen here on July 6th 2007 passing through Dunstable is Arriva The Shire & Essex 3170 (N32 KGS) previously LDT SE720.
