Sand looking a bit less golden :)

 

Knocked out a few more interesting shapes with the l-system and applied some random placement and colours for effect.

 

The seaweed is uses "stochastic" rules (i.e. random) to generate a bunch of different shapes to avoid that look of repetitiveness.

 

Feels like progress but time is running out and it still doesn't look that great. Planning a build review at midnight. Team spirits are high. Some beer and whisky drank.
