Grumpy frog
My interpretation of the Grumpy Frog by Oriol Esteve
Paper: Duo Thai Dark Green / Green 30x30 cm tinyurl.com/ydbzubfh
Diagram: Upcoming book "Stop Thinking - Start Folding !"
When I folded this model, the ways to interpret it were limited. Should I just shape and rounds legs and arms ?Not enought for me ! So, I've tried several options but all ways just broke the cute apparence of this frog. So I decided to change completly the original position to bring me new ways to interpret it.
What I absolutely wanted to keep and highlight was the color change of the eyes and the mouth that makes this model so distinctive of the other frogs. But I wanted to show more color change. I noticed that pull out the hidden inside flap could create a belly that I could round with a pleat-fold. That's it, I found what I was looking for! The rest was just shaping of the arms, legs and fix the position of the head.
