My picture taken on 9/1/14 wouldn't be possible today.As the next picture demonstrates, Confluence Point is usually about 100 feet further out past these two interpretive signs. The Missouri and the Mississippi were high, and covered the point area beyond the end of the trail leading there. The couple in the photo taken 9/1/14 would be underwater today. Heavy regional rains have raised the water level substantially, but haven't caused flooding in the Jones Confluence Point Park proper,as of about 5pm 9/13/14.
