Bisbee, Arizona

Structurally deformed limestone outcrop/roadcut of the Castle Rock exposure alongside Tombstone Canyon Road (upper Main Street); possibly of the Devonian Martin Formation. It looks like something you'd see in the core of the Pulaski Thrust Sheet back in southwestern Virginia. The Precambrian-Paleozoic-Mesozoic stratigraphic section in the Mule Mountains of the Bisbee area is pretty interesting, and looks like it's ripe and overdue for additional bio-stratigraphic and carbonate facies work (not to mention structural studies). Having Bisbee as your Field HQ seems like a pretty darn good idea!
