Conservatives gained five seats in the Milton Keynes Borough Council elections on Thursday, 1 May, 2007. Although the party tallies are now: Liberal Democrat, 21; Conservative, 20; Labour, 10; on Thursday, 1 May, the Conservatives took 39.6 per cent of the votes cast to the Liberal Democrats' 29.4 per cent and Labour's 24 per cent.
