This is what it looks like when a coot sees you standing by the canal bank and thinks you've got food! The trail behind it was probably twice as long as the picture shows.it was determined not to take off, but belted along as fast as its legs could move it for some 20-30 metres. Unbelievable! Serious aggression too! No...we're not bird feeders. No bread or other edibles were used in the making of this picture!
