Verona Arena
Arena di Verona is an amphitheatre that is still in use today, even though dates back to Roman times (built in AD 30, with subsequent modifications as a result of earthquakes over the years). In some respects, it is more astounding than the Colosseum in Rome, as it is still being used and feels more than a museum artefact.
Although ancient performances housed more people than today, it is still able to house operaperformances for an audience of up to 22,000 people.
