The Instamatic 50 was the first of the Kodak Instamatic camera line , produced from 1963-1966 . The above models- USA on the left , UK on the right- are not the very first of the production but apparently the most common . They are grossly the same but show some differences . Apart from the place of manufacturing as mentioned on the front and on the inside of the backdoor, the backdoor itself shows the presence of a pressure plate in the UK-model , and the absence of vertical ribbing on the opening side of the door in the US-model .
