In the early hours of December 9th 81016 on 1S18 2255 (08/12) Euston - Glasgow some 140late due eth issues was derailed at speed in Linslade tunnel with the loco colliding with the tunnel wall and a bridge parapet before carrering on another 60 yards, Tragically the driver was killed, others injured and 13 coaches derailed but all remained upright. A grim scene for all concerned
