York 45012 Feb 85

At a freezing snowy York a good few hardy soulscheck out proceedings on the return "Knottingley Man of war" tour on Feb 9th 1985. 45012's bolier was being checked but a stock fault meant no therms all day on a bitterly cold winter's day. 45012 was substituting for an absent advertised 40 (all withdrawn!). A dull 47157 replaced the peak but still no heat filtered through the stock.

We tended to put up with such discomfort back then, today the grannys/grandads that make up the majority of Farrows tour consist would have all died of hyperthermia had they done this tour!
