Birmingham New St 47901 July 84
Not the greatest of captures photographically, but heres the rare 47901 at the East end of New St after working 1Z27 "South Yorkshireman" railtour from Bristol TM. 58014 is hovering alongside to work 1Z27 forward to Sheffield on July 15th 1984. This tour also got 56037 from Cardiff to Bristol and 37248/37249 Sheffield-Cleethorpes. A rancid overnight to make the 0500 Sun morning start from Cardiff meant much of this tour saw many of us incl me dossed out all day!
