Reverse Association?
Not sure if 10 years qualifies as
"old skool" or not...
For two years I worked for a summer camp
in southern New Jersey.
It was in a rural farming area
dotted with small towns
90 minutes from Philly
and no big deal to get to NYC or DC.
Meanwhile we had a mortgage in
Northwest Indiana
outside of Chicago,
what I call the Industrial Suburbs.
People often associate Indiana
with corn & sunflowers,
and New Jersey
with Newark.
So I was a legal resident of
the part of Indiana
that looks like
what people think of
when you say
"New Jersey"
and working in
the part of New Jersey
that looks like
what people think of
when you say
"Indiana".
