Maribel and Gaudi

Maribel, next to the catalan arquitect Antonio Gaudí, looks at the nice modernist building called "Capricho" at the village of Comillas (Cantabria) in the north of Spain.

This genious of the architecture draw this innovative building in 1883, when he was young. The owner was Máximo Díaz de Quijano, the first Marqués de Comillas. Here Gaudi shows his fantasy combining a contemporary vision of architecture with the adoption of historical neomudéjar elements. The façade is made in brick adorned with ceramics rows. The forged iron is present in the balustrades specially around the tower.
