Yellowstone River (Explored) Thank you for 38,000 + views

The headwaters of the Snake River are in Yellowstone National Park. As flow progresses southward, the Snake River passes through the Alpine climate of the Tetons and the greater Jackson Hole area. Here, the Snake is fed by an average precipitation of 30+ inches, and average of 252 inches of snowfall. There are minimal urban areas between the Yellowstone headwaters and the water consumers in Teton County, making the water some of the purest and cleanest in the country.
