Conrail removed the markings from Erie Lackawanna GP35 2571, but someone decided to put an EL patch on the nose. Taken at Secaucus, NJ 1/1/77.
June 13th 1976 Mingo Jct., Ohio. 4 Alco C628s & 7 Cleveland Electric GP38-2s populate the outbound engine house tracks with no patch jobs applied yet.
U36B 2971 leads 2 U30Bs at New Brighton, PA on 7/28/77. Conrail purchased only 4 U36Bs from GE that were originally built for Auto Train.

3 former PRR GP9s in the snow. This is another slide from my collection with no date, location or photographer. This has the look of Conway, PA to me as my educated guess.
Retired recently renumbered Alco C425 5072 {PRR,PC,CR 2438} sits in Collinwood on 12/28/80.
Now officially a Conrail unit by a couple months GP7 5605 {NYC 5605} is seen here at Chicago, Illinois on 6/24/76.
Conrail purchased 4 U36B's in 1976. They were originally built for Auto Train to SCL specs, but not delivered due to financial difficulties.
