B&O GP40-2 GM50 {built 9/72 & assigned 4164 slot which it later became) was painted gold to celebrate GM's 50th anniversary building locomotives. GM50 is seen here only a month old at Chicago, IL on 10/13/72. Locomotive is still active as CSX 6063
