Macquarie Bank headquarters, 48 Martin Place
Macquarie Bank moved up the road from 1 Martin Place to 48 Martin Place, which used to be the Commonwealth Bank's headquarters. This is the Johnson Pilton Walker-designed atrium at the 10th and 11th floors, which lets light into the interior's nine floors below. The building has 20,000 square metres compared to 30,000 square metres floor space at the old address, but with better use of space in a 6-star redesign I doubt too many staffers are complaining...
