Color in Motion

More fun with the Halloween Pennant Dragonfly. I am in awe of their beauty. This was my first time shooting dragonflies and it was a bit windy so none of them were staying on their weeds for very long. They also were fluttering their wings a lot to stay put which made it even harder to snap them. I don't have a long lens so I have to be fairly close to my subject even with zoom. This made for an interesting experience. I have to say...I am totally hooked on taking pics of these guys. I was surrounded by nature, immersed in a field of wildflowers, the sun setting, a cool breeze blowing as I stood quietly just taking in the scene and being one with nature. It was pure nirvana.
