Fleeting

This was my first try at "expansion" (combining multiple images to create a larger overall image -- mimicking medium/large format, or full sensor D/SLR cameras, giving a greater sense of depth.

I began working on this photo during this past Winter Break '12 with 1 clock. This took me about 2 weeks straight in post, and still not being able to complete it. Finally, I decided to revisit and accomplish this extremely trying and frustrating image (My slow computer/software kept crashing due to how many files I needed to composite/edit, in addition to manipulating my point n' shoot as best I could).

This image is composited out of about 20-25 individual photographs.... I'm pleased with the overall composition, but less so with the color/toning, image quality, and exposure (which is due to my camera only capable of auto settings...). I think I'll try to recreate this when I get an actual DSLR.

P.S. I taught myself how to do this, so I dunno how good it "really" is. Also, I shot this just a few yards away from my front door at home, near a trail - a few hikers gave me some very odd looks haha! :)
