Old Wheel

This is the wheel of an old ox-wagon.

 

Ox-wagons were used as a form of transport mainly in Southern Africa but also in New Zealand and Australia. They were drawn by teams of oxen.

The entire wagon was made of wood, the wheels fortified with iron rings.

 

 

I found this one in the garden of a popular restaurant called "Am Weinberg".
