Skyway Park

by Pomegranate Center

As part of DIG 2009, Pomegranate Center has been working with the Skyway neighborhood to revitalize their community. A major part of that revitalization has been Skyway Park, and on August 21st and 22nd, community members young and old came together to design and carve wooden columns to act as gateways for the main park entrances. Members of the Boys & Girls Club dreamed up the designs, then we all got together to carve them into the poles, paint them, and stand them up. The Park looks incredible, and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend workshop: awesome volunteers, hard work, art projects, nature, and community building. It doesn't get any better than that. Congrats, Skyway!
