Special order for manifestationdesigns

This chalice was thrown in two parts from porcelain, then carved and pierced. The carving was done with the idea of smoke from incense.

 

The glaze is Scrying Bowl Black with Buttercream on top, then they were rubbed to make them mingle a bit before firing. I really like the way it highlights the carving subtly.
