1969. Riley Elf. RRL 373G. Aug 2022 (3)

1969. Riley Elf. RRL 373G. Grey. 998cc. Petrol.

This was first seen in 1961 as the Wolsley Hornet, and Riley Elf, as before the Elf was the sporty version.

Riley Cars 1899 – 1969. The first Riley car was a small single-cylinder, belt-driven light car which did not go into production. The first Rileys produced after the First World War were the 11s. The Riley Elf, a version of the Mini with larger boot and 948 cc engine, was also produced. 1966 saw the introduction of The Riley Elf. After 70 years Rileys finally ceased to be produced by British Leyland towards the end of 1969.

Of the 31,000 that were built, it's thought that fewer than 700 have survived, which gives the Riley Elf rarity.
