Siponto Chiesa di San Leonardo
L'interno della chiesa è caratterizzato dallo strano aspetto della navata destra: questa, infatti, non esisteva in origine e fu aggiunta in seguito, addossandola all'ex-muro esterno, oggi muro interno alla chiesa. Alcuni affreschi e scudi crociati teutonici riportano alla metà del Duecento. Nella volta centrale troviamo un piccolo rosone. Si tratta di un” foro gnomico che, nella giornata del 21 giugno alle ore 12, attraversato da un raggio di sole, proietta un fascio luminoso, che crea un motivo a croce , che si posiziona, perfettamente al centro, tra le due colonne adiacenti l’ingresso nord della chiesa. Sulla parete del lato destro della chiesa, rispetto all’entrata a nord, vi è un altro “ foro gnomico” che attraversato da un raggio di sole il 21 marzo alle ore 16 , equinozio di primavera, proietta un fascio di luce accanto all’abside.

The Interior is characterized by the appearance of strange right nave: this, in fact, did not exist in origin and was added later, putting it together at the outer wall, inner wall to the Church today. Some frescoes with Teutonic Crusader shields are of in the middle of the 13th century. In the roof, there is a small central rose window. Is a hole "gnomish" that ,the 21 June at 12am, crossed by a ray of sunshine, he sends a beam of light, which creates a cross, this is perfectly positioned in the Middle, between the two adjacent columns at the North entrance of the Church. On the right wall of the Church, from the North entrance, there is another "gnomish" crossed by a ray of sunshine on 21 March at 16pm, spring equinox, projects a beam of light next to the apse.
