School of Applied Science, former Preston Institute of Technology, Janefield campus 1972-

Designed by Perrott Lyon Timlock & Kesa (project designer Brian Mathieson) in a development phase of Colleges of Advanced Education, notably the Janefield campus of the Preston Institute of Technology (now RMIT) and the Caulfield Institute of Technology (now Monash). PIT was another reason why it was possible to study from preschool to PhD without changing postcodes, one of the only areas of Melbourne. La Trobe University had opened in 1967..

Design is perhaps the best from the firm in the 20th century.
