Rufous Hummingbird (in banding cage)
Here it is seen flying around in the banding trap. The trap is a wire cage set up around the hummingbird feeder with a door in the front. The hummer will fly through the door, into the cage to get to the feeder. The bander will then pull the door shut with a string attached to the door from a distance. This bird spent its 5 minutes in the trap flying around, calling, trying to fit through the mesh, and actually using the feeder, until it was caught.
