A Great eBay Photo Find
This was one of my favorite items I have gotten off of eBay. It is an old souvenir photo from Konigstein Germany. It is of five US Air Force GIs. The back says: "May 15, 1946 Koningstein, Germany, Walter Ecland, Michael Wolovizk, Bill Catellino, Edward Vedroos" It comes from a Photo Album belonging to Charles Porter, who was a corporal at the time. Charles is the one in middle with the Moustache. I also got about 15 other small photos from the same album. Why anyone wanted to get rid of such a treasure is beyond me - I'd love to find out if any of these guys are still alive. I love the photo because of the relaxed attitudes, the way they are dressed - they look like really good friends.
