Powerline Markers
For the past couple of days helicopters have been passing over my house. It turns ou that they strung lines across the top of the high power lines crossing the James River and now they are attaching orange and white markers to the lines to warn low flying air traffic of the danger. The helicopter would hover in place while this guy sitting outside attaches the marker. Then they go get another marker while another helicopter is doing the same. SO Now you know how those markers are installed. I could not get an photos of them being installed - they were already doing the ones 2 miles off shore - the James River is over 4 miles wide at this point.
