This is the second of a series of portraits I created using my classroom scanner. One of my students had done this a few years earlier, and so I figured I would give it a try. It is hard to get a consistent result, but on the other hand the scanner produces images with stunning clarity. Almost every pore in my skin, every single hair, is reproduced carefully and completely. There is even a slight fogging upon the glass from my breath. The stretching effect is caused both by the distance from the sensor and the slight movement of my head, as it is hard to hold still for the long scan.
