From the less faded containers at the back, I guess his small business is growing. With the ridiculous amount of over-packaging of everything here, I am not surprised.

 

Example: two nights ago we received YET another bunch of Moon Cakes, the traditional gift here this time of the year. It contains 12 little cakes about 2x5cm in diameter. Each cake is firstly wrapped in a soft plastic skin (akin to clingwrap), then packed on a thick, hard plastic container-bottom which then is individually wrapped in a semi-hard plastic bubble filled with a gas and then the 12 are wrapped together in a very sturdy plastic. The sturdy plastic container is then placed inside a big, square plastic box which is then sold to you and on your way out, placed inside a plastic bag for you to take home ....
