The future
In 2014 the Great Central launched their Bridging the Gap appeal. The aim is to connect both themselves and the Great Central North at Ruddington. This includes rebuilt an embankment, repairing bridges and reinstating the bridge over the Midland Mainline. These two bridges section were donated to railway by Netwrok Rail during there redevelopment of Reading.
