Little Bytham
Little Bytham was one of two starting points on the western section on the M&GN the other being Peterborough. Opened on 2nd October 1853 the station became a junction with 3 platforms in 1857 with the opening of the Little Bytham & Edenham. This however was not a success and the railway closed in 1884. The M&GN crossed the East Coast Mainline at this point but their was no direct connection between the two. From here the line carried onto Castle Bytham and Saxby but a special boundary post was put in place to indicate where M&GN metals started. The station closed on the 1st August 1959.
