Hawker Typhoon Ib MN235
Introduction in 1941 the Typhoon was suppose to be the successor to the Hurricane. However this never materialised and the Typhoon found a new role as a low level close support aircraft. By D-Day the 2nd Tactical Air Force had equipped 26 squadrons with Typhoon specifically for this role. later on they were used for standing patrols but once this role was done away this the Typhoon quickly disappeared and this example is the only survivor.
