The violet sabrewing (Campylopterus hemileucurus) is a very large hummingbird native to southern Mexico and Central America as far south as Costa Rica and western Panama. Always a pleasure and thrill to have a larger hummer come in and decide to feed right in front of you. One of the many gems and highlights of touring costa Rica with passionate instructors and photographers. Both Juan and Don specialize in multi flash, and nature light photography.
