My theme is build-up, and my feeling are excitement and joy.

 

Finally, that day came. We came into class with lots and lots of layers, since it was going to be cold. I wore a few sweatshirts and sweaters, with a really warm jacket. I was boiling, but I was so excited that I didn't mind. Everyone was talking, hoping they could be with this person or that person. Then, we saw the list. Silence. Then, we all were running, almost climbing on top of each other to see the list. After pushing my way through the pack, I saw the list. I had a pretty good group. And Mr. Cook was our chaperone! I was stoked about this trip now. I saw that Nora was in my group, so I went over and talked with her before we were escorted to the cafeteria. We all sat down in the cafeteria with our groups and started talking. We started to talk about who would hold the map, where we should go, etc. After about 10 minutes, the teachers told us to be quiet, and that we had to go. We all grabbed our stuff, like food, water, and more layers, and ran out the door to the bus. I was excited now, but soon, it would change.
