There is this hidden cove that can be easily missed when walking along the cliff at Ricketts Point. It was full of Pied Cormorants sheltering from the icy winds. They are ‘near threatened’ in Victoria, some sources say, so it was a pleasure to observe and photograph the totally relaxed gulp (I'm told that's what you call a flock of cormorants) on that winter day.
