Di fronte all'Eternità
Sono giunto al termine di questo lunghissimo sermone.
Ma, prima di concludere,vorrei farvi una proposta: leggere questo passo della Prima Epistola ai Corinzi,almeno una volta alla settimana.
Seguendo questa pratica,un uomo cambiò completamente la propria vita.
Oppure potrete leggere l'epistola una volta al giorno,sopratutto le frasi che descrivono il modo di agire che si confà all'Amore.
“L'Amore è paziente,benigno...L'Amore non arde di gelosia.”
Mettete questi ingredienti nella vostra vita. E da quel momento,tutto ciò che farete diventerà Eterno.
Vale davvero la pena di spendere un po del proprio tempo per apprendere l'arte di Amare.
Nessun uomo diviene santo dormendo: è necessario pregare,meditare.
Allo stesso modo,ogni miglioramento- in qualsiasi ambito- richiede preparazione e diligenza.
Imponetevi di vivere una vita piena e corretta. Se volgerete lo sguardo al passato,vi accorgerete che i momenti più belli e più importanti della vostra esistenza sono stati quelli in cui era presente lo spirito dell'Amore.
Guardando al passato- ed evitando di soffermarci sui piaceri transitori della vita- possiamo renderci conto che i momenti più significativi della nostra esistenza sono stati quelli in cui abbiamo vissuto l'Amore,o durante i quali,magari nascostamente,abbiamo fatto qualcosa di buono per il prossimo.
Cose talvolta troppo stupide per essere raccontate ma che, per qualche frazione di secondo,ci hanno fatto provare la sensazione di essere immersi nell'Eternità.
Io ho già visto tutte le cose belle che Dio ha creato.
Ho già apprezzato quasi tutti i piaceri di cui un uomo può godere.
Eppure, volgendo lo sguardo al mio passato,rintraccio soltanto quattro o cinque momenti- assai brevi- nei quali sono riuscito a imitare,in maniera assai povera, l'Amore di Dio.
Ebbene,questi momenti giustificano appieno la mia vita. Tutto il resto è passeggero.
Ogni altro bene o virtù è soltanto un'illusione.
Questi piccoli atti di Amore – che forse nessuno ha notato,che nessuno conosce – legittimano la mia vita.
Perché l'Amore permane.

But, before concluding, I would like to make a suggestion: read this passage from the First Epistle to the Corinthians, at least once a week.
Following this practice, a man completely changed his life.
Or you can read the epistle once a day, especially phrases that describe the course of action that suits Love.
"Love is patient, Love is benign ... does not burning with jealousy."
Put these ingredients in your life. And from that moment, everything you do will become eternal.
Is really worth to spend some of our time to learn the art of love.
No man becomes holy sleeping: it is necessary to pray, meditate.
Similarly, any improvement in any field-requires preparation and diligence.
Impose to yourself to live a life full and correct.
If you look in the past, you will find that the best and most important moments of your life were those in which was the spirit of Love.
Looking at the past-and avoiding dwell on the transient pleasures of life-we can see that the most significant moments of our existence were those in which we have lived Love, or during which, perhaps secretly, we've done something good for the next.
Things sometimes too stupid to be told but that, for some fraction of a second, they made us feel the sensation of being immersed in Eternity.
I've already seen all the good things that God has created.
I've appreciated all the pleasures that a man can enjoy.
Yet, turning to look at my past, I find only four or five times-very short-when I was able to imitate, in a very poor, the Love of God
Well, these moments fully justify my life. Everything else is temporary.
Any other good or virtue is only an illusion.
These small acts of Love - that maybe no one has noticed, that no one knows - legitimize my life.
Because the Love remains.
